Donald Yacoe has had a long career as an exhibiting artist, professor of art and muralist.He has held one man shows in New York, Chicago, Los Angeles and Honolulu and exhibited in museums in the US and abroad. Don is a Professor Emeritus from Long Island University, CW. Post Center, School of the Arts and a former exchange professor at the University of Hawaii, Manoa. A permanent residence of Hawaii since 1985,Don lives and works in a house and studio on Paiko Lagoon in East Honolulu. He and his wife Caroline, have traveled extensively in the Pacific collecting art and videoing for documentaries on tribal art, life and ceremonies.
