Group of Fijian clubs showing different styles: from left: throwing, paddle and "gun" type. The pointed tip one on the right is unique to Fiji, It was designed to poke a hole in the head of one's enemy.The shell inlaid club in the center is a contemporary version of the club given by Chief Chantheau to the British to symbolism turning the country over to to them. This club remains in the Fijian Parliament today. Clubs now are used in traditional dances and on ceremonial occassions.
