With its scepter like shape fou, were amoing the first artifacts collected by Europeans. They are still used as a symbol of power. In the old days a Kwaio warrior would wear one down his back to indicate he was on a revenge hunt. Nautilus shell is set in tree putty for decoration as well as weavings of cane and wild orchid.
