| Kapkap traditionally worn by Chiefs from the Santa Cruz islands in the Solomons. The turtle shell overlay represents a frigate bird diving down over a school of bonito fish. The shell part is polished clam (tridacna). These ornaments are still worn and highly valued today. | ||
