| Bamboo flutes are used all over Vanuatu for personal pleasure and in ceremonies where they are believed to be the voices of the ancestors. Flutes are also played to ensure a good harvest or successful fishing. Designs etched on these flutes represent faces of the ancestors, fish scales, animal tracks and even a rope to tie up one's wife. | ||
